Process:

The following process expands on the instructions provided from the mushroom kit.
  1. Open the box and put on protective gloves and mask.
  2. Open the large barge of mushroom compost and fold over the sides of the provided box.
  3. Fluff up the compost using a gardening shovel or plastic fork and spread evenly inside the box.
  4. Spread the small bag of peat moss over the top of the mushroom compost.
  5. Place the box inside a dark and humid environment (around 18°C to 22°C)
  6. Spray water using a mister to keep the compost moist at all times but not wet. Spray twice a day.
  7. Cover the box with a thick cardboard that blocks the light.
  8. After a few weeks, “white veins” should appear across the surface of the kit. Remove the cover to allow for better air flow and continue to keep in a dark location and mist regularly. Mushrooms should appear in 21 - 39 days.
  9. Harvest the mushrooms by gently twisting the bottom of the stem to break away from compost.

Keep kit away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
